For many Jotform users, scheduling is the next natural step after collecting information. Once a form is submitted, users need an efficient way for their customers to book time with the right person, without the manual back-and-forth.
Jotform’s existing Calendly integration makes scheduling easy through embedded form widgets. But as users began adopting AI-powered chat and voice tools, the Jotform team recognized an opportunity to deepen their Calendly integration across channels.
The challenge
Creating a natural scheduling experience across channels
Jotform’s original Calendly widget worked well for forms, but it wasn’t designed for AI agents.
The team’s initial approach to integrating Calendly with their agents involved displaying Calendly UI inside an agent conversation, which didn’t feel natural for users, and wasn’t compatible with voice agents.

To deliver that user experience, the Jotform team needed a more flexible API endpoint.
The solution
Seamless scheduling with Calendly’s Scheduling API
By integrating Calendly’s Scheduling API (Create Event Invitee endpoint), it became possible for Jotform AI Agents to schedule meetings directly. Instead of embedding Calendly UI, the API handles everything programmatically, from fetching availability to confirming bookings — all within a conversation.
